Finished photos of a stair upgrade completed a while back. This included removing the traditional balustrades and replacing everything with oak and glass.
As you can see in the photos, the newel posts and stringer were faced in oak. New oak newel pegs, handrails and base rails were fitted and then finished off with two giant bits of 10mm toughened glass (not the easiest or lightest to install). Finally, a few coats of @osmo_uk oil were applied to keep the timber looking it’s best.
This brought so much more light to the hallway whilst keeping the traditional look with a modern twist.
